Along with the improvement of the telegraph in the XIX century, a telephone appeared. In the early 60s of the XIX century. Flight has designed a telephone set, which has not received any practical application. Further development of the phone is connected with the names of American inventors I. Gray and A.G. Bella.
Later, Bell demonstrated the developed by him electromagnetic telephone, which served as a transmitter and receiver. Apparatus interested in the business community, which helped the inventor to establish "Bell Telephone Company."
Many inventors worked on the improvement of the phone (V.Siemens, Ader, Gover, Shtaker, Dolbir, etc.). Soon Edison designed another type of telephone (1878). Edison provided the transmission of sound over a considerable distance.
In the 20-ies of the XX century, the first automatic telephone exchanges were installed.
In 1973 the company "Motorola" appeared. The first phone worked without recharging no more than 20 minutes and the size was similar to a brick and weighed 794 grams!
